PhD

Practice-oriented work and doctorate: possible with us! Our PhD positions are designed in such a way that you will be involved in industrial and publicly funded projects from the very beginning, but that you will have enough time for your dissertation, too. For example, you will not have any teaching obligations at our institute, but you will be able to draw on the results of bachelor's and master's theses that you supervise during your doctoral studies with us. Within the three years of your PhD, you will already have gained extensive practical experience and will combine your scientific work with business issues.

You will publish your findings in renowned journals or present them yourself at a conference or convention - even abroad. This enables you to enter the scientific community and build up a network.

Cooperation with the University of Duisburg-Essen

The close connection of our institute to the chair of electronic devices and circuits at the University of Duisburg-Essen ensures intensive supervision by your doctoral supervisor. In addition, you will be supported by accompanying writing coachings, regular feedback rounds by the professors and experienced colleagues. All facilities and laboratories of our institute as well as our institute-owned library are at your disposal during your doctoral studies.
