Microtechnological talent pool
In the context of a professional training program which was financed by the “Bundesagentur für Arbeit”12 participants from companies and five other retrainees were trained microtechnologists by the RAG BILDUNG in Dortmund.
The best result that has ever been obtained by a microtechnologist at the “Chamber of industry and commerce” is the result of Tanja Rost who passed a qualification in microtechnology during 11 months at the RAG BILDUNG. Also Jan Felix Barten and Rüdiger Mesters obtained an excellent result. Barten and Rost passed a qualification in microtechnology. Mesters finished a retraining which lasted between 18 and 24 months. The “Bundesagentur für Arbeit” supported the qualification and retraining.
Stefan Kulozik (Chairman of the general management of the “Bundesagentur für Arbeit” in Dortmund) and Claus-Dieter Weibert (Deputy managing director of the “Chamber of industry and commerce” in Dortmund) congratulated the participants who successfully took the exam in microtechnology. The tasks of the brand new microtechnologists will be the miniaturization of electronic circuits as well as fluidic, optic and mechanical devices, sensors and actors. The fields of application are medical, automotive, building services, environmental and industrial engineering as well as nanotechnology.
“Both, employees and employer benefit from the additional expertise. The involuntary break caused by the short-time work has been well filled by the professional training program”, emphasized Stefan Kulozik.
“All participants can be proud of their achievement. Especially the qualification within 11 months was challenging as it usually lasts 15 months. This time we could shorten it because in the first three months the participants worked fulltime”, said Andreas Wilmer MSc., trainer at RAG BILDUNG in Dortmund and therefore manager of the microtechnological talent pool.
The Fraunhofer IMS Duisburg and ELMOS Duisburg/Dortmund took the chance to qualify their employees in the context of a professional training program and in the context of short-time work at RAG BILDUNG.
Rheinhard Senf (Member of the executive board in the division of production at ELMOS), Holger Schienbein (Human resource manager at ELMOS) and Prof. Dr. Holger Vogt (Fraunhofer Institute for Microelectronic Circuits and Systems) took part in the graduation ceremony, too.
