MD&M West 2026

From February 3–5, 2026, the Fraunhofer Institute for Microelectronic Circuits and Systems IMS will exhibit at MD&M West in Anaheim, California. Visit us at Booth 3162 (Halls A–E). As a leading institute of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, Fraunhofer IMS develops smart sensor systems for a safe, secure, and sustainable future. At MD&M West, we focus on next-generation medical sensors for applications such as personalized non-invasive monitoring, in-vitro diagnostics, and neural implants.

When? February 3–5, 2026

Where? Anaheim, California

Booth: 3162

Our key competencies include:

  • Optical systems: High-performance Single-Photon Avalanche Diodes (SPADs) with ultra-low noise, sub-nanosecond timing, customizable designs, and full system miniaturization
  • Biochemical sensors: Functionalized single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) for highly sensitive biomolecule detection with real-time optical readout
  • AI-enhanced analysis: Embedded AI for real-time signal processing and optical vital-sign analytics using standard cameras
  • Neural implants: Clinically approved hydrocephalus shunt systems with in-house pressure sensors, wireless power supply, and data transmission

At MD&M West 2026, we will present SPAD technologies, SWCNT biosensor platforms, and AI-supported measurement systems, including real-time vital-sign monitoring via smartphone cameras. Our solutions support industrial partners from proof-of-concept studies and prototype development to chip design and process technologies, including sputter deposition and collaboration in publicly funded projects.
