First, the exact arrangement of the components and their roles and functions are clarified. In particular, the functionality of a coordination function (KOF) to be created on the grid side is conceptualized and its interaction with the property at the grid connection point is defined. This includes communication via the »Smart Meter Gateway SMGW« to the »CLS - Controllable Local System«, the local energy management system. The KOF is to be placed in the backend of the active, external market participant (aEMT). Based on this structure, practical solutions will be developed. When implementing the CLS module, for example, two approaches are envisaged: firstly, implementation via an intelligent metering system infrastructure and an FNN-compliant (Forum Netztechnik/Netzbetrieb of VDE) control box using the IEC 61850 protocol, and secondly as additional logic on the EMS. In each case, the communicative connection to the EMS is to be implemented via EEBUS. The advantages and disadvantages of both options are to be investigated in the project.
