Professor Holger Vogt is the deputy director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Microelectronic Circuits and Systems IMS in Duisburg. The family father was born in 1955 and has been a professor in the field of “Electronic components and circuits” at the University Duisburg-Essen and has been teaching the subjects semiconductor technology and microsystems. The electrical engineer studied at the University Dortmund and specialized early on in CMOS semiconductor technology, which has been the subject of his dissertation as well. Prof. Dr. Vogt has been working at Fraunhofer IMS since 1985 – he helped establish and build the institute. Thus, he has been part of the IMS team from the very first day and knows the institute in its entire breadth. At IMS he started as team leader and then as department head for technology, research and development – today, he is in charge of the MST Lab&Fab, the acquisition of major projects as well as strategic questions at the institute.
